TRON 2.0 Not On DVD

16

HomeLAN Fed has a followup story to yesterday's report that TRON 2.0 would be released on DVD. According to a Buena Vista Games spokesperson, only Germany will get a DVD version. The game will be released as a CD-ROM title everywhere else.

Yes it does. Everyone has a CD player in their machine. NOT everyone has a DVD player in their machine. I'll let you do the remaining marketing analysis.

People don't have DVD-Roms because nothing comes out on them.

Start putting out DVD games and people will buy. It's not like they are expensive. 20 bucks? OH NOS!!!!!111111111111

And you know EVERYONE, right? This decision is based purely on $$$, just like every other conscious decision made by humankind. It's blatantly obvious that the market for a CD based game is much larger than for a DVD based game. They aren't concerned about 1,2,3-5 years from now and proliferation of DVD players in PCs. They want to make money NOW.

What kind of idiotic assumption on your part did you have to make to think that "whatever dude" indicates an intelligence level from the person who said it?

wow.... pot -> kettle == black

Trust me, I assumed zero intelligence from your post. It's called sarcasm....look it up. At least some people here can form the basis of an argument, right or wrong. You are not part of that group.

Morons who come into a semi intelligent discussion and post junior high shit like "whatever dude." Those are the words chosen by the intellectuall meek who know the don't have an argument to hang a hat on. If you want to discuss then do it, quit doing drive-by shit bomb arguments.

So I'll give you one last chance to redeem yourself. In the US is there a larger installed base of CD drives or DVD drives in PCs? As a developer who wants to make money on a game now (not proliferate optical drive technology in PCs) you know which format they'll release on. So why are you arguing this clear as crystal point with asinine comments like "whatever dude?"

How generous - the almight Thrader shall allow me to rip him a new... errr, redeem myself - thanks.

You made the statement/implication that since that other poster didn't know everyone in the WORLD that his opinion didn't count

I merely replied likewise to your CD statement.

If you can't handle the fact that your OWN argument worked against yourself, I would say that you are the one that lacks intelligence, responded like an infantile, and should just go back to the hole you came from.

You focused on the wrong part of my argument, which is a good tactic to derail the main point, but an obvious ploy to try to get by the fact your argument is flawed.

The guy said everyone HE knows has a DVD drive - nothing wrong with that. You had no reason to rip into him, other then to try to make yourself feel better. But instead you come off as an argumentative jerk.
