MSN Messenger 6 Preview out!

I've been using the beta for the last few weeks, and it's clear: Anyone who uses Messenger _NEED_ to check this out! The biggest changes include much better video/audio and file sending features (NAT'ed users can finally send files, use webcam's, etc without having to open up ports in the firewall and other such nonsense). Default logging is also one of the new features. The new avatar function is actually pretty cool, and there are 30 new (some animated) emoticons. You can also add your own that will be automatically sendt to those you chat with.

Some multiplayer games (like minesweeper) are included too. Another small, yet HUGE change, is that when you're now running a fullscreen application (like, say, a game?) the notification window doesn't pop up, and no sound is played! This means that those of us who have problems with games coming to a complete halt for several seconds when the alert window pops up and finally leave Messenger connected and not worry.

So, I just bought a decent second hand 50mm lens (f1.4!), a 4 stop neutral density filter, an 81-a filter, got a slide film back (mounted for superior scanner use!), and purchased a 3200ISO 36 exposure Ilford B&W film.

Yeah... so in the last 2 months I've spent ~3k on photography equipment. I can't stop it. It's compulsive :~(( I nearly bought a lightbox, too.

OK boys(and girls) here we go.

SEMI-OFFICIAL NEARLY PHENOMINAL SHACK BF1942 TEAMSPEAK SERVER OF DOOM

I have set up a teamspeak 2 server for use on bf1942.eof.net. We did a trial run yesterday and got up to nearly 20 people chatting on it with no lag and a very minimal bump in ping. It even ran perfectly while I was playing on the same computer.

The server is set up in to 3 channels.
Default - When you log in you always go here
Axis - For the Axis teams
Allied - For the allied teams
Remember to listen to a teams chatter you must be in that channel.

Unfortunately you must switch to each of these channels manually but that's why hotkeys were invented. I have made a quick little setup for people though. Go to Settings -> Key Bindings then click on the import button and import this file http://www.shackspace.com/~crimsonbeak@shackmail.com/ShackBind.kbn it will set up your hotkeys for you.

HOTKEY SETUP
NUMLOCK - Talk to all channels (for taunting or general banter)
/ - Switches you to default channel
- - Allied Chat
* - Axis Chat

Also and this is Very Important please make it so you are NOT Voice activated and have to press a button to talk. To do this go to settings -> Input/output devices and click on the push to talk radio button, and then set which key you want to use(I use the +)

I was bored to day and was thinking..the HL2 video where the guy takes the camera and moves it with that weapon.. do you think that the video display in game is 3d? or a picture that is taken? Cause if it is still 3D would that increase the polys alot in certain areas?

Well I am single again after like 3 years.

I go to the bars about once a week and I'm pretty disgusted by what I see. I'm not really interested in meeting a girl at the bar. I'm sure I could meet a real nice one but I don't think it would be easy and I'd have to get pretty lucky.

I was thinking about trying match.com or yahoo personals. It seems like a good idea, you get to find out about a person, if you have a lot in common etc. I'd want to talk on the phone and see a lot of pictures so that their are no suprises on either end.

Anyone tired these and had any luck, or am I better off just keep to the old fashion ways?
