Ritual Layoffs

Ritual Entertainment's Tom Mustaine let us know that due to not being able to secure new projects, part of the Elite Force 2 team was let go yesterday. Ritual still has Counter-Strike Condition Zero and Counter-Strike Xbox in development but was unable to secure additional projects for an entire team. About a dozen people had to be let go.

Y'know, kudos to Ritual for being open about this and saying "Look, it sucks, but we had to let the guys go, financially we just had no choice." Lots of other companies would just try and brush it under the carpet.

Best of luck to all the guys who got let go, really.

Man this really sucks. I know someone who is one of the skinners and I hope he didnt get let go. :( Matter of fact, he skinned all the monsters in the game.
