FAKK2
by Steve Gibson, Nov 06, 1999 11:57am PSTHeavy Metal FAKK2 is in the works over at Ritual Entertainment. The guys at GA-Source had some hands-on experience with the game recently and are offering up their preview of the Quake3 engine based title. There are 4 known Quake3 based games now, FAKK2, Voyager, Alice, and Wolfenstein2000. I still cant decide which game I'd like better between this one and the KISS game from ThirdLaw.

Fog like that can be hacked into Q2 easily
and curved surfaces in that shot ? where ?
i dont see anything that couldnt be done using some simple brush manipulation in QER. If thats any indication of how the final game will look like then i believe that they just sank cash licensing q3.
\"Also notice that the walls aren\'t straight up and down\"
well they better not be. This isnt Doom anymore.
the potential that game has from what i\'ve gathered is just tremendous.
i really hope it doesn\'t suck.
But they really could work on the lighting...

and yeah, the main character is a man with boobs.
Didnt like it all. The modelling and animations, specially on the lead character was absolutely horrible. Artwork was drab and uninteresting, and it really might have been using the Quake2 engine with reflective surfaces and fog from what i saw. Alice looks much nicer. Or maybe im just not into Sin-style artwork, because thats what this seemed like.
How long do you think we\'re going to see it in development, though?
