Blizzard's Battle.net website is now offering info on the upcoming Diablo 2 1.10 patch, which is currently being tested. The new patch will have seasonal ladder characters, more challenging gameplay, an updated game world, enhanced skills, and plenty of other cool new things.

If you people played on BNET currently, you'd know why Blizzard is trying to up the difficulty level. With the right characters and items (usually duplicated or hacked items at that), the game is easy. So they are just trying to add some of the lost challenge back into the game, and when having an Elite Unique actually meant something.

Hmmm... a new secret quest in Hell... possibly related to selling Stones of Jordan (to kill off the current economy currency no doubt).

More challenging gameplay? They already made the original Diablo2 just about impossible to play in 'hardcore' towards the end without the enhanced expansion pack items. How hard can they make it? Then again, I haven't played it since the expansion first came out.. A lot might have changed.
