Enemy Territory Nearly Done
by Maarten Goldstein, May 09, 2003 10:35am PDTActivision let us know that Splash Damage's free, stand-alone, multiplayer game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is nearly finished and will be released early next week. Here's what Activision had to say, go here for three new screenshots.
We wanted to update everyone on Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory progress. Thanks to dedicated gamers and testers, we've been working on fixing bugs and other issues that have been uncovered in the recently released map test. We've also been following feedback in the community to help us address any balance issues. We're in the final phases of testing and tweaking and hope to be ready to release the full, free, stand-alone game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory early next week. Check out the official site, www.castlewolfenstein.com, for more information.Didn't grab that test release? You can still find that here.

has anyone had problems with the Linux dedicated server of ET crashing? For some reason, mine crashes ALL the time, and usually doesn't get more than a few hours of uptime. I'm running Debian 3.0 Stable with kernel 2.4.16.

BF1942 is good, but this is FREE AND fun *without* the vehicles!
It's not like a performance issue, I can tell. None of my other games, which are more graphically intensive, do this.
