We need new MMORPGS that actually have ROLEPLAYING and actually don't feel like you're in this competitive Numbers race with everyone else playing. I'm a big nerd and i've played AC1 for like 3-4 years...love the game but that's all AC1 really is A NUMBERS RACE with chat.

He wouldn't tell us anything about their next project, not even what it was. However, he is REALLY pumped about this game. He said that he expects it to get best of show at E3.
One student asked him why Asheron's Call 2 "sucked". Chris said that Turbine was completely unorganized when they were working on AC2, but that they have learned from their mistakes. He admitted that the game was a big disapointment. If they had not learned from their mistakes, he said that he would have left the company.
A great comment he had was that when a company is still adding features to a game in Alpha and Beta, the game is doomed. It happened to them and he has seen it in other games. Star Wars Galaxies is in that boat, according to him and he knows several people at Lucas Arts.
Chris is a great guy and very friendly. Glad I could hear him talk.

WoW looks great for fans of the Warcraft games, but if it just offers more of the same it will fall short.

Okay so I kind of rambled on a bit there. I still see this being a good MMORPG, they seem to have lots they can do in it, I guess time will tell how good it is. It would have been interesting if this game was released around the same time as SWG to see the kind of reactions that both games get at the same time.
I have a bad feeling this will be EQ with Hobbits tho. I know it's cliche to say but no MMORPGs are making any revolutionary strides and they really need to, because they are in a sorry state right now.
