DOOM 3 Q&A

Haven't seen one of these in a while, a new DOOM 3 Q&A. GameSpot talked to Tim Willits about various aspects of the game and also managed to score a new screenshot.

GameSpot: There's so much anticipation for Doom III at this point that it seems larger than life. Will the final game be as revolutionary as many expect it to be? Tim Willits: Doom III will truly change what people expect from a video game experience. Every piece of technology, from the rendering system to the six-channel surround sound and the realistic physics, is coupled with incredible art and design to create a world that is hyperrealistic and more interactive than ever. Players will be drawn into the mood and atmosphere of the game to the point where they feel like they are part of the world--not just a character running through a noninteractive set piece.

  • Which is going to sell more, Doom 3 or Half Life 2?

I personally won’t be buying Doom 3 because id can’t make single player games and it looks too slow to be any fun. On the other hand Half Life 2 sounds fantastic, running at the same speed as the original and with a great story and varied environments. I’d personally like to see HL2 vastly outsell Doom 3 so id go back to what they’re good at and make multiplayer games, but that’s just my opinion. I can't even begin to guess which will actually sell more.
