Online gamestores are notoriously unreliable when it comes to release dates, but what about making up games? Here is a GameStop listing for Unreal Tournament 2004, which has not been announced by Epic or Infogrames. The game is listed as shipping November 18. Thanks VE3D.

I enjoyed UT2003 rather throuroghly. I still play it after getting the game in September. The game wasn't bad or anything - I don't see why people don't like it.

I wouldn't think this is anything other than the standard "game of the year" packs, but it's gonna cause a bit of confusion with the general buying public.

And I don't think Epic is that stupid to release a substantially different game that would splinter an already small community.

um Epic announced when they gave UT2K3 the name change that they would be releasing a new UT game every year.

Well I feel like a sucker for buying ut2k3 so I'm going to stay away from ut2k4. At least they could put more than 2 decent maps in the game this time.

If they think I'm going to be buying this they're having a laugh. UT2003 patched & bonuspacked with all the latest files is the stage that it should have been out-of-the-box when it first came out.

UT2k4 will probably be what they promised UT2k3 to be - which is a pisstake if they think that I'm going to buy that package.

This will be an engine update, new maps, new gimmicks, etc.
