Guillemot announced a while ago that it had purchased Hercules, but it wasn't really clear what they were gonna do with it. Well, Hercules is now back (PR here) and announced the Hercules 3D Prophet DDR-DVI, a $299 GeForce card with DDR ram, TV output (NTSC and PAL) support for normal tv's, flat panel monitors, digital CRTs and LCD projectors and support for DVD as well.

  • Does anyone know if there\'s a GeForce with TV-in and TV-out and DVD support (and vid capture if possible)...if not is there a TNT Ultra (or even Pro or regular) with these features. I\'m tempted by the ATI RAGE128 PRO (the new card), but the 3d performance isn\'t all that (but I have a 12 meg Voodoo2 right now and I\'ve not upgraded because I\'ve convinced myself to wait for the next gen again and again...but the GeForce looks pretty nice; and it\'d boost my Celery\'s performance significantly (I get a decent ~46.1fps timedemo right now).
