Relic has released a Homeworld 2 trailer, showing off mostly ingame footage from this 3D space strategy game sequel. The movie, which is in WMV format, runs for 2.5 minutes. Thanks -TKF-. Update: here's a high-res (1024 x 576) DivX version.

you know, this looks great and all. but now that i think about it, homeworld looked almost exactly the same, just some lower res textures.

that's a testament to how shit hot the original homeworld looked.

Can't wait for this to come out... Homeworld was one of the few titles that came full of nothing but gaming goodness, with no perks.... great gameplay, great UI, great AI, great play mechanics. Kudos to the dev's

Ok, stupid question time. I have Winamp 2.91 installed. Both the WMV and DivX AVI files play the audio for me, but not the video. I have a P4-1.6Ghz CPU and 1GB RAM, so I know it's not cuz my box sucks. Any ideas?

Great trailer(crappy music), I always loved those HUGE enviroments in homeworld. They would have backdrops of old space stations for maps and you would be this little tiny spec on the map.

Very nice. The cutscenes are probably the best I've seen as far as pulling you into the story. As far as RTS games go, this is right up there with the C&C series with me.
