Last night on PlanetSide

Had some fun times last night, rebuilt one of my characters back up to BR6. It sucks having your character at BR20 and being wiped. :( Oh well.

I was on Server Dalton last night roaming around with my squad. We travelled from the Vanu Sanctuary immediately to Eshmir (one of the snow continents). We had almost the entire planet locked up except for a few towers here and there. We were so close to locking it up but everytime an NC would break through the lines or warp out like 30 vanguards and lightnings + some reavers at us, we would falter a little bit. We pretty much kept the NC's from taking over bases but they kept taking towers so it was annoying.

Some highlights. 3 Anti-Infantry MAX's (including myself) ventured upon an NC tower that was next to an AMP station. Looking down we saw about 15-20 medium assault players outside the tower I suppose getting ready to launch an assault. So the 3 of us all jump-jetted over the hill landing right in the middle of it. It was amazing, 3 MAX's just ripping through Infantry. Absolutly hilarous to watch them scury away. They kept respawning at the tower and we kept mowing them down. That was definitely one of the funnier things I've seen while in this game.

Another fun moment. I used my Anti-Aircraft MAX and our base was under heavy fire from vanguards and reavers. A reaver is attempting to do a suicide run on myself as he was low on energy. Right before he gets to me I fire off a round of vanu lightning or whatever it is, it connects with the Reaver explodes in mid-air and the craft lands on 4 vanguards below destroying all of them! hahahahaha...

Fun times!

The webserver is dead. The ever-alert shackmanagement(tm) saw it coming and we're running everything from the db server at the moment. ShackES and Fileshack will go online again soon. But some stuff (like SSL, etc) will be broken for the time being.

Is anyone here really *really* knowledgable about modem data transmission? I have an idea that I think would double modem speeds, and I can't find any data on the web to contradict my idea or tell my why it won't work. But I need someone who knows more about them to bounce my idea off of :(
