um. the "windows downloads" are still quicktimes.. its just they are in a zip file. which i guess is what makes them windows downloads. how lame. but the good news is that its still a fast download and no wait. oh well.

Many people hate .mov and .rm files because their associated players suck! If you are on windows, don't worry, just download the free and KICK ASS "Media Player Classic" player from here:

http://vobsub.edensrising.com/mpc.php

Remember the wonderful Windows Media Player 6? Remember how sucky the newer version of WMP are? Well Media Player Classic is tiny and efficient like the old WMP6, but it is modern and up-to-date.

Media Player Classic can play EVERY video format, even .rm and .mov files!!!

Trust me, if you use Windows, you should have Media Player Classic installed.

Of the 3 that have been released I can say this one was the one I liked the least, the story is so brief it doesnÃ‚Â´t really get you anywhere where as in the last 2 the time alloted was smartly used to convey a little bit of a backstory into the fold. Also the application of a Film Noir sytle was not the best, I would have much liked better to see something like that but with a Frank Miller style instead which would make it darker and also a lot better defined... IÃ‚Â´m sure this migt be a kick in the groin to all cowboy beebop fans out there, but there's a lot of coffee brands out there that are way better, believe me...
I can't wait to see The Second Reinassance Part II in May and to buy the DVD in June...

Pfffff.... I can't hear any audio in this 3rd one just like I couldn't hear audio in the 2nd Animatrix movie. The 2nd and 3rd Animatrix movies have so far been the only .mov's I've ever encountered that won't play audio. Someone in that thread said I chose not to install something when I installed QT... bah, like I'm going to reinstall Quicktime.

Hopefully someone will convert this to mpg or divx!

I wish they'd release these in other formats... .mov tends to be big and double resize very well (movie goes all chunky when size is doubled). DivX would be awesome.

Wow, that was fucking sweet, I've always been a sucker for the film noir thing and combine that with the artwork style in this one and you have a great little short.

Combine it with the world of the matrix (as they did) and you make me wish this was a feature length film.

I don't care about this sort of thing. I'd rather NOT know what events led to the destruction of earth. Sort of like not knowing about what happened in star wars eps 1 - 3. Takes some of the mystery and awe away from the concept. that's why I think the 2 new movies comming out will suck ass. :(
