this sucks, i just ordered a 9500Pro for $180. i bet that price will drop by 25% by the end of april.

It's hard to see this as a good or a bad thing. On one hand the ATI card will be out sooner and they will get a lot more sales. On the other hand, the NV35 will come out and probably be a lot faster than this card, leaving ATI with a little more time to work on their next chipset, but unable released soon enough to win the Doom3 round.

wait, isnt the R350 just an updated r300 core with a 256-bit memory bus? I think the 9800 has more texture memory or something uhhh

I guess this is the year for Doom III. They're pumping videocards out fast now :).... and to think I am still happy with my GeForce 4 Ti 4600 :P Granted I might be slow now with 202FPS at demo four in Quake III now. But I think that's enough for me at 1280 x 1024 in 32-bit color.

Uh, #1, since Nvidia kept stating NV30 would ship on time (i.e. about September of last year), then kept saying it would make the end of the year, then said February, and to this day it's still very difficult to find one in stores...

What makes you think that when they "ship" the NV35 you'll actually be able to get it?

Let me put it another way. If they were that close to production capability with the NV35, they would have just skipped the universally panned NV30.

I wouldn't expect to be able to buy an NV35 before Fall of this year, no matter when they "announce it is available."
