It will suck to play jk3 under xp, if ur not admin, i play quake not under admin, and it sucks, u have to reset ur controls every time, same with jedi outcast, xp is so god damn gay

I got burned last time with JK2. All of their so called patches for "balance changes" just made the whiners happy. It got to where the lightsaber was useless unless you were on a saber-only server. I now refer to Jedi Knight as Quake Knight...cuz thats pretty much what this game that used to be cool has been reduced to.

In other words, I'll pass on JK3 :)

This is very depressing news. Jediknight 2 was *OK* for it's time, just ok. With unreal and doom 3 just around the corner this is going to to feel like playing halflife.

Yeah it might be fun, but it will still bother me because of the fact that this is not some shitty liscense or games series that you just crank out for a few bucks. The game is a fucking work of art, I seriously hope the 3rd one get's some real justice paid to it. With a REAL story, and some REAL graphics it could be a really graet experience;)

I hope this is a joke, and that they will be using a new engine for the next jedi knight.

I dunno if it is april fools, but the Gamestar.de site has a quote from Robin Walker saying [half-life 2] "it runs prima. We licensed the Q3 engine...." -- That has to be BS (thought they were doing their own engine) unless they scrapped it and ..yea who knows. Just gimme HL2 someday. kthx

How can anyone read that and think it's not a joke is beyond me. Create your own character? For an FPS such as this? Why? Did they create cutscenes and dialogue for every single combination of race/gender that you could pick? 70% of the game you'll use the saber and that's more emphasis on it than the last game? I used the saber at least 70% of the time if not more in JK2. This has April Fools written all over it.

Also, if they were going to use the q3 engine then most likely (if this thing is even for real) its going to be an expansion pack.

Lastly, I hope they are working on SOF3 with the doom3 engine when they finish quake4.
