Devastation MP Demo Fix
by Maarten Goldstein, Mar 21, 2003 9:31pm PSTArush Entertainment sends along this performance fix for the Devastation multiplayer demo, fixing the extreme frame rate loss and connection lags that people are experiencing. A patch fixing server browser issues, miscellaneous gameplay issues, physics, and other problems will be released in the coming weeks. According to Arush, the performance problems only exist in the demo, and not in the retail version of the game.

I wish they'd given us a territories map to try out. It would've given us a better idea of what to expect from Devstation multiplayer. We hardly needed a demonstration of vanilla CTF, a gametype that I feel confident in saying that we're ALL familiar with. You'd think they'd want to show off some innovative gameplay.
Sorry guys, but I can't give you my money just yet. If the single player demo is good, then we'll talk, but for right now... good effort.
