The Project 3 Interactive website is now offering a new demo of Termite's team oriented first person shooter New World Order. This demo offers two maps, playable in singleplayer and multiplayer mode. You can find a mirror of the 154mb file on FileShack. Also released is this addon for the retail version of NWO, adding the Restaurant map to the game.

What's with all the crappy games lately? Single-player impressions: character runs way too fast, no in-mission save, you buy you're gear like in CS which I think is lame, enemy AI shoots you with uzi from far away the almost before you turn the corner, run into 2 guys and you'll be killed (had to play it on easy to get by, and I'm generally good at FPS's). Just seemed unpolushed over all, nothing new or special about it... multiplayer wasn't much better, blah another crap FPS...

The game STILL sucks. Hell long loading time. Framerate is a bit better than European release but this is mostly indoors map so can't tell about larger maps. Hostages disappear all of a sudden, not to speak of their defiance against savior, me. No freshness in gameplay. Nothing new.

Well I just played, its WAY better than it was before, everything is functional. And its actually pretty fun. being able to shoot lights out adds another dimension to gameplay also.

Quick Impressions on my box (AMD 1.2Tbird, 768RAM, GF2Ultra 64MB)

Install: piece of cake

Menus/briefing/screen loading: cool looking, good menu sounds/music

Loading time: faster than UT2k3

Ingame: @ 800x600, 32bit and some other stuff on..none of the highend options though, it ran o.k. Small firefights yielded major chunkage. Probably because my GF2 was dying.

Graphics: Very nice

Gameplay: (SP) - wtf? I'm an elite unit and I start out against the baddies with a glock?? laaaaaaaaame. Where's my Mp5 'n stuff? - (MP) ran around a little and then it crashed to the desktop.

I'll have to play with it on a better system..and report back. Its definatly better than it was, I will give them that.

Hey all need some peeps to play on USJolt servers there are 30 set up but the ingame master server isnt picking em up, so use ASE (All Seeing Eye) go to options then to games and scroll down to NWO click etc. With ASE youll be able to find all 30 servers set up for us. Hurry Up sick of playing on peeps pub servers that cant handle it :)
