NOLF2 Patch Today

This new patch, updating the game to version 1.3, will offer two new multiplayer modes - click here for all details and here for some screenshots. It should be available shortly after 11AM CST.

They forgot to mention the most important thing, and that is the DRAMATIC improvement in the network code. I mean, big-time. Just make sure you have the server and your client set to the right type of connection and it plays like, totally smooth now. It's a huge leap from last time I tried NOLF2 online.
The doomsday game mode is pretty fun, and the three maps I played (there are like 8 or 9 new maps) are cool. I'm sure it'll take some time for the community to figure out all the little server settings that work best, but it's cool overall. My suggestions: don't crank up the movement speed past about 1.10 (more tactical) and restrict the weapons somewhat, especially the bananna! It's already obvious that excessive bananna spamming is going to be a problem, even though you can pick up and shoot banannas to get rid of them.
