Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault
by Maarten Goldstein, Mar 04, 2003 7:41am PSTHomeLAN Fed was invited to a Electronic Arts press event, where besides showing off the recently announced Medal of Honor: Rising Sun console game, they also had news about the new PC Medal of Honor game. Fans of the PC version of Medal of Honor will get a second expansion pack for Allied Assault this summer ("the game will be a longer experience in single player than the recently released expansion Spearhead") and we're gonna see a full new game called Pacific Assault next year.
Like Allied Assault, Pacific Assault will not be a port of a console Medal of Honor title (although they will use a couple of the same locations and battles from Pacific Sun such as the Pearl Harbor attack) and will have its own separate storyline and characters. Powers said that the game will once again use the Quake III engine as its base, but added that Pacific Assault will have a large number of graphical improvements such as dynamic lighting, higher detailed character models and an all new terrain engine. Powers also said that the game will have at least one new multiplayer gameplay mode. ...Update: more details are up at GameSpot.

Did anyone else wish that instead of D-Day level ending when you leave the bunker you could traverse the network of trenches and run around behind the beach etc.
Granted, the Medal of Honor games are top-notch, but don't you feel just a little dirty playing it?
