I believe the time for world war 3 is now. You can assume that it's going to be a global war (ww3) because of the lives that will be taken. And I believe this Iraq war has a 90% chance that it will spark ww3 because of the mentioning of the Euphrates river as the spark. ww3 will lead to the destruction of over 2 billion people, 1/3 of mankind. I dont know the nations involved, but it definitely has to be a nuclear war to kill this many people. ww3 is coming, it's only a matter of when.
Since the bible teaches that this catastrophic war will originate from the area of the Euphrates river, which is mostly in Iraq and war with Iraq is only days away, I just think that this thing is too close and this prophecy is looming ahead. I've been waiting for this moment because the other prophecies leading to this sixth trumpet (ww3) have already come to pass and this one is next. Even if this Iraq war goes bad there's just no way the United States and Iraq could equal the 2 billion+ death toll. There has to be other nations involved.
Here's my speculation just from reading news sources for the past year...

So I'm sure we all know the crisis between India and Pakistan , both are nuclear powered. China and Taiwan, if it wasn't for the U.S. they would have Taiwan by now. And We promise to defend Taiwan and our threat is China nuking our major cities. You never know about that North Korean problem, they could jump in while were still busy with Iraq. Now just those nations alone could easily give you the death toll of 1/3 of man. It's not a far out thing to think of and everyday in the news you hear reports of all these hot spots.

The aftermath will launch us deep into world government as prophecied.
I didn't nearly explain all there is to know. There is just so much detail that I just wont go into all of it right now.

I find I have been in a better mood these days because of the perverse glee I take while watching people kerblam their way through this thing. Boom! Crash! Wow lookit that hubcap go! I hate hate hate how WOW plans on taking the same approach with pkilling as it did with the Diablo series. Basically, if you want to partake in pkilling you can flip the switch on, otherwise you are safe. That's pure crap! WOW is a MMORPG and pkilling should be part of that. Hey, if you decide to venture out with a stranger, just like real life, you better be aware of the dangers of getting killed. Blizzard deciding to nerf down something that should be a regular part of a MMORPG is stupid. Everyone should play by the same hardcore rules.
Oh and save the bs argument about "well i'm a newbie and i keep getting killed by level 100 people." My answer, well if you're a level 1 dude and you see a level 100 dude coming, you better run off in the opposite direction! Oh or is that just too difficult? MMORPG is supposed to be tough for beginners.

It's. So. Fucking. Slow. OSX.2, 640mb RAM, 150gb RAID 5 array
I brought some video work home to work on this weekend. Conclusions? My machine at home (upper mid-range these days) tears this POS a new asshole in every way. Editing video on the Mac platform is NO WHERE NEAR real-time, despite all their marketing ploys. There's no reason I should have to wait 5-10 seconds everytime I make a minute change to the movie timeline. Oh, and Apple? Have Final Cut Pro NOT render things that just don't need to me rendered? Adobe's stuff does it just fine. I wish I could strangle the guy who was here before me that had the ignorance to suggest such a solution to the company.
Real-world Macintosh applications? They don't exist. I've been looking for 2 years.
And before anyone gets pissy: Yes, it's been kept in good order. Programs installed: Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Premier. Nothing else. Drivers and system updates kept up-to-date too.
I'm going to push for Discreet all the way.

For what values of x does
(x+1)^n / n^ln(n) from n=1 to n=oo converge?
I think it has to be solved using the root test, but it may be the ratio test instead or even something else I'm not thinking of.
for example, say i have a recurrence relation:
T(n) = T(n/2) + 1
i get it to the point where T(n) = T(n/2^k) + k but how do i make the step to turn it into logs?

I am just learning C++ right now...and have come across learning pointers. I understand the concept...how they work and everything...but I have yet to see a logical reason for using them. I know they are used all the time...I just haven't seen them used in a way that benefits the program (I have really only read example source). I know I am missing something...help? I'm such a newb.
