$100,000 Quake3 Tournament

Dude, lets not start a flame war but yes I have played q3 and there is absolutly no feel for any of the weapons there for me man. I played q2 for whats gonna be 2 years this christmas so im far from a rookie. I have *yet* to rail someone in q3 man. The game just totally feels like mud even as an LPB. If you say the weapons arent predicted fine, but I know the few times I did hit someone with the rail, I wasnt even looking at them anymore and the trail wasnt even near them, and that was on top of around 100 ping.

Q3 rail and Q2 rail are two totally different weapons, I have completly no feel for it. I donno whats going on behind it but it seems like a totally useless weapon for me...

BTW, whenever I run q3 if fucks up my sensitivity in q2, is this happening to anybody else?

The weapon effects ARE predicted. Its the fact that weapon effects (muzzle flash) are predicted but weapons are not (rail shot, rockets flying through air) that has caused a lot of disturbence. I prefer it.. but it takes some getting used to.

#29, there\'s so much wrong with that goofy mouse it\'s hard to list it all. It does LOOK like a cool idea, and I was really excited about it before I got to play with it, but that thing has NO fuckin shot at getting good players to use it. I posted in the Q3 messageboard about it under the heading \"Razer mouse sucks leaky ass\" and I REALLY went into detail because I would hate to see anyone waste their money on this piece of shit. And it\'s a lot of money for a mouse to. The 1000dp1 is like $70 and the 2000 is $100. And yeah the activision party was cool! I got to meet Carmack, and I swear to god I felt like a groupie :P I\'ve met some famous people in my life, but I never got psyched to meet anyone like I did to meet him. He was a real cool guy too.

This will not be a Razer event but a CPL event. All of the CPL events have cash sponsors and they are not allowed to pull their prizes because people do not use their products.

So this is not a concern.

One big problem with this tournament is that it\'s sponsored by razer mouse, and if the tournament is in march that mouse will be out for a while and I guarentee you NONE of the players in it will be using it.
I got one last night at the activision party, and I have to say it\'s the most ass backwards retarded contraption I\'ve ever played with.
Totally sucks for gaming, with a whole slew of flaws that I listed in a post on the Q3 message board. I really can\'t see this razer company happy with forking over that money when none of the players in the tournament THEY sponsor use their product.
I know that tastes are subjective, but this mouse is SO bad that I\'m really confident in saying that NO good players will be using it.

Thresh is the only DR member that really played q2, reptile just said in an interview he didnt like q2 OR 3. Actually q3 is gonna REALLY suck if they dont take that prediction off the weapons.

He\'s been unstoppable as long as unstoppable means not even playing in about a year...

reagardless of Thresh ever playing Q3 or not, his name is already synonymous with Classic Quake. he has to be remebered as the first big time player, and has been pretty much unstoppable since then.

Bah, Thresh is just having his period because he can\'t assrape people like he did in QW.

I doubt if thresh plays, him and most of deathrow already said over and over how much q3 sucks and that they are not gonna play it. I wouldnt be surprised if we dont hear anything from thresh again. He has his websites to run.
