by Maarten Goldstein, Feb 12, 2003 7:47am PSTThe 3DMark03 release remains crazy popular. We'll continue to juggle with server access until demand dies down, because unfortunately it seems SFO didn't make it through the night. We'll have that server fixed and put back into rotation later today though. Did you hear about all your base? Movie: Sorry baby but I had to crash that Honda.

Worse yet, it seems that Nato is going bye-bye, North Korea is acting up, Iran is becoming suspicious once again, China is just waiting to make it's move against Taiwan, and the middle east is as fucked as it's ever been. On top of that, some countries that used to be our allies, aren't exactly that anymore.
So, what do you?
A. Stage a faux terrorist attack in a coastal city to rally more Americans around the cause, and with a little luck, maybe get France and Germany to see it your way.
B. Go ahead with war plans, and hope that your enemies (Democrats, other countries, etc) don't make a surprise attack.
C. Take heed of the world's majority opinion and back down, swallowing your pride, and making your father very angry.
This is not a flame-thread, I'm just curious to see what most of you would choose to do.

but goddamn, their tech support RULES. the system on their site for tracking your tech support requests is the best i've ever seen, the techs have gotten back to me within a few hours every time i've sent something, and now they've found a line problem and are ready to dispatch a covad technician to fix the problem so our connection will be up to snuff.
so pending any more problems i think i endorse them now. :)

Games that Shack-Hype have hypmotized you into buying that just fizzled for you?
For me:
WarCraft III (just didn't grab me the way I had hoped)
Black&White (Villiagers need a better user interface)
GTA3 PC (god I miss my PS2 controller.. keyboard just can't cut it)
Don't get me wrong - I really do trust shack recommendations. They have also garnered some huge wins:
BF1942 (I'm completely addicted)
SimCity4
StarCraft (I had always ignored this game but bought it because of the Shack.. and was addicted to it for months. No idea why I just can't get into War3 though)
GTA3 and GTA: Vice City for the PS2. What great frickin games!!

Analyses of a new high-resolution map of microwave light emitted only 380,000 years after the Big Bang appear to define our universe more precisely than ever before. The eagerly awaited results from the orbiting Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe resolve several long-standing disagreements in cosmology rooted in less precise data. Specifically, present analyses of above WMAP all-sky image indicate that the universe is 13.7 billion years old (accurate to 1 percent), composed of 73 percent dark energy, 23 percent cold dark matter, and only 4 percent atoms, is currently expanding at the rate of 71 km/sec/Mpc (accurate to 5 percent), underwent episodes of rapid expansion called inflation, and will expand forever. Astronomers will likely research the foundations and implications of these results for years to come.

Personally, I hope it's Gunn. I only started watching the show recently, but on what I've seen I find the guy to be pretty annoying.

I am just graduating college with a Math/Comp Sci double major. I have my campus job which is pretty fake and my summer job of 4 years which is pretty awsome, but no other work experience (never worked in HS). I have held a couple leadership positions in the local service fraturnity, should they go under experience? What should I put for interests as all I can think of is computers, which is already all over the resume. Also any general tips people have?
