  • I like how some of these games use sprites to get massive body counts on the screen at once. It almost makes me muse on the idea of someone making a new FPS that uses sprites for in-game characters even though it's a true 3d engine. Given that the sprites could be drawn at 1024x768 or higher, it might not even look that bad; it'd be a way of someone making a new FPS that graphically stood apart from the other games. A FPS with Guilty Gear X style art, I suppose. I know people will refer to Ubi Soft's new cell shaded game, but to be frank, that game is aesthetic barf in a bag. In any case, it'd be a lot of work, considering you'd have to create frames for all of the varied angles that a true 3d FPS has.

    Regardless, I want to play another game with 30 enemies in a room at once!
