UT2003 Bonus Pack Tomorrow

Good news for all the Unreal Tournament 2003 fans, the first Digital Extremes Bonus Pack for the game will be released tomorrow at 1PM CST. Here's what will be included level wise

Sizing in at around 195 Megs, the DE Bonus Pack includes 6 all new maps - 3 deathmatch, 2 CTF and 1 Bombing Run. Here's a couple of screens to whet your appetite until tomorrow. The Bonus Pack will be available in two forms - umod form and a zip file that extracts the map/textures/static meshs to the correct spots for people who don't have the latest patch (v. 2166) or who are running dedicated servers only. (umods sadly don't work without the latest patch or with server only versions.)

You know what really bothers me? the boring maps in UT2k3.

I'm sorry, but some of the UT maps were just ingenious. Overlord? The map where you dropped out of a helicopter unto a moving train, inflitrating the battle ship, the map with the underwater base where 1 team starts in a submarine? that map was just amazing. The castle map.

Now we have like generic quake 3 look alike maps....where are the gimicky innovative maps?

Thinking of getting a new graphics card, UT2K3 is a good game, I want it to perform better. Unreal 2 is a definate buy, demo or no demo I NEED a single player game right now. There's this one map in Unreal 1 (or was it UT, dunno) that we played a LOT on our LAN parties. Simple map with a large ventilator-pit at the bottom (to sniperspots on either side of the big room). You guys know the name of that map? Tons of fun.

I would love a remake of that special map for UT2K3.

They look like clssic DM maps (UT, Quake1 ). Gameplay > visuals. I hope this is true, cause i didn't like the gameplay of the "out of the box" DM maps very well.

UT2K3 is a beautiful looking game, but I honestly felt that there could have been more maps included with the release. That being said, a bonus pack is a thoughtful release by DE, nice to see that they stand behind their project.
I wish that someone would release faithful renditions of deathmatch maps from "Unreal" and "Unreal Tournament", there were some real gems there like 'Deck 16', though it pisses me off when people substitute textures and add ghey walls and bridges =/

I love you.

I just bought UT2k3 used from a shacker, and boy, I am NOT regretting it now. (Not that I would have in the first place). Fantastic game!

But damnit, I just wish more people played Bombing Run, and that there was no instagib mutator ;)

Man, I say the Epic workshop at Winter CPL, there's an ice level in the bonus pack that looks freaking sweet. Imagine Curse 3 with all the blocks in the wall, but blueish white with great ice shader effects on everything and stalagtites and chains everywhere. One of the best looking levels I've ever seen.
