C&C Generals Preorder Deal

As a beta tester, I strongle urge anyone to TRY a demo [if they ever release one] of this game before you buy it.

damn, I already pre-ordered at gamestop.com about 5 days ago. Hopefully I'll still get the stuff.

i want to pre-order but without official minimum specs released yet i don't even know if it will run on my system or not. =(

preorder question: if i preorder something, do i get it on the day of release(they ship a few days prior) or do they ship it the day of release? cause if i have to wait even one more day past feb11 then im not going to preorder. i want this so bad. if anyone is in the orlando area, we're having a ra2/yr get together tonight, should be at least 6 of us so far.

Don't make assumptions. FilePlanet's posting that the game needs 2ghz and a Ti4200 or better are bull. But really, what did you expect from GameSpy :) ?

You do need a decent 3d card, and the game will run on a 1ghz machine (though it will advise you that it is slower than the recommendation, so you should expect slowdowns (especially during a scud storm)). 1.5 ghz and a Ti4200 are fitting me just fine.

I do not know what the beta tester below is talking about. There's 5 copies of the multiplayer test at the local gaming center (official, yes), and we've been playing it non-stop. Call us addicts, but this is the perfect game.... I didn't want to start playing Warcraft 3 anyhow ;) ....

There are problems staying connected to "Generals Online" (think X-Box live, because I don't think this game will have any dedicated servers), but besides that, problems are few and far between IMHO.

Screw that stuff, 10 dollars off any day.

Just make sure that you have the HW to run the game. It's sys reqs are going to be pretty high
