Most of all, the A-10 thunderbolt aircraft seriously needs some nerfing, that GAU-8/A gatling gun cuts through other vehicles like a knife through butter. Realistic perhaps, but not quite as entertaining if you're in the receiving end.
I will need to play more to judge properly, but I think it has potential if they lock it down to large maps like El Alamein or slow down the aircraft. They are simply so fast that you reach the end of the map before you manage to even locate the enemy. Perhaps on a map without aircraft the game would be better balanced, I don't know.

This is EVERYTHING Military Forces Quake 3(sucessor to AirQuake2) was going to be.
Too bad they never finished MFQ3.

Models & new Textures: Very cool. The A-10, F-16, (I think they were) Mig29 Fulcrums, A1 Abrams tank, AH-64 apache helicopter ... very nicely modeled and textured.
Sounds: The plane and helicopter sounds are nice. The humvee is missing sound, but its an alpha I know
Maps: With the speed of the A-10, Mig29, and F-16 these maps need to be HUGE. By the time you take off, count to 2 ..you're already almost flying over the enemy base. I love the speed, but the maps need to be huge.
Gameplay: This is going to be their biggest issue. Balancing everything (well, the US artillary compared to Iraqi isn't balanced, but its a game =) )
I look forward to future releases!
