Wow, today was just insane files release day, pretty bum timing too as we've got our 2nd largest Fileshack city offline all day today which accounts for about 20% of our capacity. We've got some fruityness with an upgrade but we suspect things will be up and running *crosses fingers* by later on tonight. In the mean time, hey look!

- That do-not-call list could just mean more spam mail - Speed trap city under fire? - National riots possible in Germany due to beer shortage - Imagine that, an agreed upon digital standard for TV/Cable - A bit on broadband in the sticks
Lastly, violence and videogames? what? Thanks V0lk

The European Parliament voted unanimously on Wednesday in favour of a new EU "electroscrap" recycling law, which includes a ruling directing manufacturers of printers to no longer incorporate chips into their own-brand ink refill cartridges. These chips prevent cartridges produced by other manufacturers from being used in many printers... The news will be a blow to printer companies like Hewlett-Packard, Epson, Canon and Lexmark, which derive significant portions of their revenues from non-reusable cartridges. Colour printers can be bought for as little as EUR100, but prices charged for refill cartridges tend to start at around EUR30 and rising.

I wish the US could pass a similar law; someone needs to stop HP from making a killing from cartridges.
