BF1942 Linux Server
by Maarten Goldstein, Dec 10, 2002 10:52am PSTIt's a damn miracle, but there's finally a beta release of the Battlefield 1942 dedicated Linux server. This beta 1.2 release will expire in 30 days but there should be a nonbeta release before then. Thanks 3D Gamers.

writing software that does not crash would be preferable to having an ability to recover from crashes.
there is little reason except crappy programming and even worse QA why game servers should crash.
and by the way windows can automatically restart non responding processes...

The windows logs seem pretty non-interesting as far as stat/player logging goes..

Any word on improvements over the Windows version? Does it crash as much/more than the Windows version? Performance better/worse?
