Answer: No game is worth a monthly fee. "
BS! Playing an online game for 13 bucks or less a month saves me tons of money I'd be spending on other games that might last a weekend or so......
AC was by FAR my fav online MMORPG so far......but
I'm also giving AC2 a chance to see how it improves. If you all remember how bad Anarchy Online sucked at first yet it is a pretty decent game nowadays....I actually am enjoying AC2. It doesn't have half the problems AO did at launch. So no AC2 doesn't = ASS!
I am not saying I'm totally happy with the direction it took, but I have to say I am having a lot of fun with it for now.
As far as the game not going over 10K first wknd.....who cares. While it may be some indicator of popularity, popularity alone is not an indicator of quality...otherwise I guess Britney Spears is the best music available right? Probably what you listen to huh?

Turbine does somthing no-one else has ever done. they actually release monthly episodes with events and actual content. As well as your normal bug fixes and game improvment. They are planning on doing some serious Innovation in the monthly episodes this time around. Allowing for interaction, yes i said interaction, with the evolving storyline. Where players can actually change the outcome of an event. somthing you could not do before. In the original asherons call 2, and every mmog that actually does 'events' your start and end of each event is scripted. Where as with ac2 the start is scripted and the end is for the players to decide, literally. The Devs will mold the future according to what we the players decide.
So if you think a game completly customizeable with a working non combative crafting system. Attack combinations a la street fighter. More dungeons than any release candidate mmog. With actual content being released every month, along with a story episode that lasts a week, and comes equiped with cool trinkets items armor weapons and such. Is the defination of ASS than you must really be into doggy style.
