Hardware Splurge
by Steve Gibson, Oct 26, 1999 9:51am PDTLooks like another software company is going to change the world. Gigapixel has just been announced. They dont seem to have any hard figures in there but they do have full screen AA and a few other features that other 3D guys are so proud of. Also, a few more looks at the coppermine stuff from Intel for you guys. Still havent quite figured out which one is faster (Athlon or Intel). Here is what ZDNet has to say, then also check out the GameSpot article. Lastly, the Creative Labs GeForce cards are most likely shipping out to distributors today.

Seems they\'re providing new software that works happily with existing drivers and would optimize performance. I don\'t really know how you could use an algorithm outside of software..... good catch, #6.
