"After the great news yesterday about the 1.2 patch, today we have information which is not really the best. EA Germany has published a press release that the release date of "BF 1942: The Road To Rome" will not be - as announced earlier - January the 10th, 2003. EA has delayed the release to 7th February 2003.
According to the German press release the main reason for this delay is the 1.2 patch. Due to the fact that DICE wanted to release the patch as soon as possible and the patch had prio 1, they decided to move people working on the expansion pack to the 1.2 patch team.
Well, and for everyone who can read German out there, here's what Steffen Ruehl, Product Manager for BF 1942 at EA Germany, had to say about the delay. For all others: It's the same as I stated above. "
