Sims Online Article
by Maarten Goldstein, Nov 29, 2002 7:41am PSTNot really a game we usually cover but GameSpot has another one of those Geoff Keighley mega articles looking at the development of a game, this time The Sims Online. Pretty cool stuff. We still have the play test for this game on FileShack.

Keep your woman away from the SIMS games as you possibly can. Or buy a second puter.

although having played the test they still havent got it right,
every property is sealed, you walk to the edge and its a void...
so you can walk around the city, etc its quite lame.
then the E3 video used cut scenes with low poly characters so I could
have sworn the game was 3d and more 1st/3rd person than isometric
but its still looks like low res sprites with clunky controls, super laggy..
BUT, its still going to cash in, it really shows you how people(women) are starved for this type of game
