Following last night's GameSpot interviews, the first Neverwinter Nights expansion has now officially been announced. Shadows of Undrentide is being developed by Bioware and Floodgate Entertainment and is due out spring 2003.

A tidbit on Floodgate:

FloodGate Entertainment, LLC was founded in 2000 by Paul Neurath, a game industry veteran who previously founded LookingGlass Studios and was the creative director on such acclaimed titles as Ultima UnderworldÃ¢Â„Â¢, System ShockÃ¢Â„Â¢, and ThiefÃ¢Â„Â¢. Many of the FloodGate team members also hail from LookingGlass, along with several other top game development studios. FloodGate's focus is on developing innovative games for leading and emerging platforms.

Ex-LookingGlass, eh? Well then you've got my attention :)

  yeah! creative director! maybe he can do something about all the crate/barrel searching. Thats what really burned me out on NWN.

      But I can't! There might be good stuff in there =(. My nature forces me to search every barrel, which made the game stinkfor me.
