Impossible Creatures Stress Test

/me wonders why nobody is going up in arms about this, yet there was a HUGE uproar about Raven Shield...

I cant even get this to install.. give me this error:

Setup was unable to find (or could not read) the language specific setup resource dll, unable to continue. Please reboot and try again.

Ive rebooted a few times, uninstalled EZPad. Re-downloaded the installer, ect.. still doesnt work. Oh well probably not worth it anyway.

My game just hangs at the 'check subscription' screen.


with the message: "EZP_REGISTRATIONFORM" on the screen.

Anyone else have a crapastic time trying to get this game to work with it's built in ez-pad protection? For those that don't know, this game has NetQuartz' Ez-Pad protection in it which basically requires you to download (small) part of the executable each time you play as protection vs. pirating. While I don't have a problem with trying to protect your digital property, it sucks when it doesn't work consistently. I got it to work (played the tutorial through), quit to eat dinner, came back and it wouldn't work anymore -- 'unable to prepare the execution of the application'.

Dumb. This product (ezpad) has had problems before -- the Delta Force Black Hawk Down Multi demo had to be re-released without ezpad because of technical issues.

It's a sweet demo, too. Gotta tell you something, micro$oft. You failed the 'stress test' already.

Weird thing is, I originally went for one month subscription at FP to play Asherons 2 which was couple months ago and still I can download from them. WTF. Gotta hit the cancel sub button after this creature file...

The creating creatures thing is definitely a fresh twist. You build units so fast it reminds me of netstorm. Because of that the creature spamming in this game is going to blow War3's away I think, especially when people find really lame creature combo exploits and do mass special ability attacks.
The resources are a straight copy from Starcraft heh. You mine coal that looks like the crystals from starcraft with a black texture, and build generators over vespene gas geysers. I guess all RTS resources are pretty much just symbolic though.

just finished the tutorial... not bad.. seems new and interesting... however, my experience with games like this proves i have no patience... *uninstall'd

Piss on the DMCA... There isn't a single reason that bill shouldn't be axed! There are no protections in it that aren't specifically for the RIAA and MPAA. Show me one place where that dinosaur of a bill is going to give me any specific rights. It doesn't!! And to make it worse, there is empirical proof out there that Congress is just counting the money they make off of the lobbyists for the two "...AA's"... While at the same time, our liberties to copy and distribute media in WHATEVER form once a "reasonable" period has elapsed are frittered away by the politicians that just ignore us.

When is someone going to stand up to the DMCA and (honestly) fight to get rid of it -- or make it what it should have been in the first place!? Don't tell me EFF is, because as of still I haven't seen ANYTHING on primetime TV or any media that gives Congress the ol' "one... two." People can bitch and moan about the DMCA, but no one out there has yet given the government any reason to reconsider it.
