NOLF2 1.2 Patch

Sierra has released a new patch for No One Lives Forever 2, updating Monolith's FPS to version 1.2. Besides bug fixes, there is now also deathmatch support. If you want to play deathmatch, you can also grab this map pack for additional levels. Thanks Unity HQ.

Perhaps most significantly, this patch also adds a dedicated server. Woot! It's launched from within the game (possibly straight from the shell with the right .cfg as well), according to the server readme, and works with both the co-op and deathmatch modes.

So maybe finally we'll see some good co-op servers as well, since the host machine won't also have to run all the game client stuff.

Am I the only one that is looking forward to this ? NOLF2 was a pretty damn good game and I could go for some DM with a more stealthy-approach.

Too bad there is no Team-DM. I played for a few minutes tonight and despite having a pretty high ping, the game still played pretty good. Hopefully some more servers will start running, right now there aren't very many.

Been waiting for the patch to fix joystick issues so I can play the game period. I wish they'd have been a little quicker with it. Although it's nice to add some multi support though I really could care less and would like to have seen the patch to fix the bugs instead of waiting on them to add dm to it.
