Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and whatnot. Gonna check out that new Bond movie I believe. I dont think I've really seen a Bond movie that I've really enjoyed since Goldeneye, but ya gotta keep trying.

    Merciless Historic Addon 3.2 FIX for BF 1.2!

    I managed to get the Merciless Creation's Historic Addon v3.2 working with Battlefield 1942 + 1.2 patch. The features of this wonderfull modifications are as follows:

    - 100% Accurate Historic Flags in all tickets, bases, and screens.
    - Base Untakable Flag - This was changed to a full flag image.
    - Icon changes to end game stats images - Awards and Kills.
    - Bullet Loader - Changed the loader image to a bullet magazine.
    - 16 Hand designed custom loader screens -They show the briefing of the battle, the battle history, etc.
    - Fixed player arrow for the minimap
    - Blood animation texture - With a perfect flow and seamless transition.
    - Hi Res flag textures for base flags outdoors.
    - Engineer Reticle changed to provide greater accuracy. This will also show when using the knife, grenade and some guns nests.
    - The Flak 38 reticle has been cleaned up and darkened somewhat. It's been tested in S/P and M/P and proven to work as intended.

    IMPORTANT NOTE! I merely got the mod working, and by my 10 minutes of play time, it did not crash on me and I saw no bugs. HOWEVER, there might be bugs that I didn't see, and features of the mod that won't work due to 1.2 patch changes. This is not an official mod release, just a quickfix for those who really, really want it. It's a GOOD IDEA to BACK UP your init.con (this can be found in \Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\). It's also important to know that I did no actual work on the artwork in this modification. All credit goes to The Merciless Creations, Mange, Dr. Tempura, Killah & all else who worked on this mod.     To install this mod, do as follows:

    1: Download: URL
    2: If you haven't ready, get WinRAR (or any other unpacker) for unpacking. www.rarlab.com has a shareware version availiable.
    3: UnRAR the contant of this folder into the folder in which you have Battlefield 1942 installed. (in other words, if you have installed BF in d:\games\Battlefield, that's where you should unpack to)
    4: Start the game as usual. No mod activation needed.


    I hope you like it! If there are any bugs noticed, leave them here and I'll see what I can do about it.
