id Software programmer Robert Duffy updated his .plan file with the news that a new version of the Quake 3 Linux point release is now out. You can find it on id's FTP server or FileShack.

Kudos to id... this version (1.32b) finally fixes the hitching I was experiencing with an SMP system (Nvidia GF3 Ti200). Played a quick game of CTF a few hours ago (got my arse kicked) to confirm. I've not tried in-game resolution-switching yet, though. (libc6 2.3.1)

hmm - wonder why this was updated... Not that I'm complaining. It's just usually I can see how the quakeIII updates coincide with other games based on the QuakeIII tech and their releases...
