Headfirst sent out some news about their horror action adventure game Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Even though the first game has suffered massive delays and still isn't out, a sequel is planned for 2004. Console ports are on their way. And the official site has opened. Headfirst is still looking for a publisher.

This is great news for Lovecraft fans. The movies are indeed incredible, even if some of the recent screenshots aren't impressive (this just confirms that what beleaguers a lot of developers is true of Headfirst, too: they haven't much clue about what to show of their work in progress). Good luck, Headfirst, and cthulu ftagn!

I've been patiently waiting for this game since 1998, and I'm thrilled to see it nearing completion. I was beginning to be afraid that Duke Nukem Forever would come out before this one did.

Yeah I'm a Lovecraft fan as well, and thought this game was DOA. Glad to see it lives. The in-game movies are tough to track down, but it looks incredible. We need more quality creepy games in the world and this looks like a candidate. It's scheduled for release in Summer 2003.

Wow I had just about given up on this one. I love H.P. Lovecraft. I remember playing some crazy spooky game called,uh, Alone In The Dark, on my dad's old 386. That was a cool game. I wonder if this will be out before doom3.
