You know, rather than go from store to store for the rest of my life, it would have been great if maybe ONE of the ten stores I went to told me that the Gamecube Component Cable was only available online through nintendo.

They all just kept saying they didn't have any in. They failed to mention that they don't carry them at all. I hope the cable Nintendo makes is quality. Although they aren't the best, the Monster cables are still better quality for the PS2/Xbox than the "official" ones.

I met a most charismatic and interesting man today in court (it was an arraignment hearing after all, not trial). He was exceptionally organized and driven. He had prepared several documents to present to the court including motions for trial and motions for discovery. He'd even brought in sworn (and notarized) depositions from witnesses to prove his case. His goal was to get the solicitor to dismiss the case (he failed). After studying law for four years to be a paralegal, he's decided to represent himself. He's also a convicted felon (convicted for being a religious terrist, actually!).

He somewhat helped me organize my defense and taught me quite a bit from a trialbook he had with him. I had him come over to my house afterward before he went back to Atlanta where he reviewed more legal concepts with me and tried to get me to be a partner in his OMG GET RICH QUICK business (Check Advance!). He also owns a few freight trucks up in Ohio and claims no income here in Georgia. What a character (I like parenthesis)!

So, did he brainwash or hyptnotize me?

Today I learned that having "system redundancy" when it comes to PCs is a very good thing.

I mean, you should absolutely own two of everything, for example: you SHOULD buy that $5 Dell keyboard when you see it in the specials section while you are HD shopping, and you should always keep at least one of all your older parts when you upgrade - don't sell that GF2MX when you get your GF4 if you don't have a tnt2 lying around or something.

About an hour ago I poured a half-glass of H2O in my "good" keyboard - CHECKING MY WATCH TO SEE WHAT TIME IT WAS... classic stoobie manuever; shut down and now it's drying, should be fine... but I have a BIG PROJECT due tomorrow and pulling that old Dell KB out and replacing the wet one was a total save. :]

Wow. I was at Fry's today picking up Metroid Fusion for my GBA and a can of air, and they had a GC on display with Metroid Prime on it. Wow. The graphics were beautiful, the controls were amazing for a console FPS (even for a computer FPS, they'd be good). My only complain is with the GC controller itself. I don't like the tiny B button, but I digress. I was also very happy with the targetting system. It reminded me of the GTA:III/VC system, and I'm very pleased. I also felt compelled to scan everything which greatly hindered my progress as the demo as a time limit. I made it a little further than the first elevator and it reset.

I think I've started my christmas list, needless to say. I hope they still have the platinum GCs in December.
