First Post!
by Maarten Goldstein, Nov 18, 2002 7:52am PSTHope everyone had a good weekend and did a whole bunch of nothing. Still a bit late with the morning updates, hopefully I can get back to starting at 8:30 again soon. Starting after nine is just the suck. Not a whole lot of exciting things happening here so that's about it for this morning. Movie: The chief didn't chew it all off, you still got a little ass left.

I picked out nine photos and made a collage with filenames on each pic. The files are in the folder linked below, handily downsized to desktop resolution if anyone is interested. The originals are of higher resolution, but don't ask about them because I won't be sharing unless you send me cash money or have breasts. Female ones.

Ok. Putting computer together. It's pretty neat. Good mobo, fast amd 2ghz proc. lots of ram, 60 gig HD etc. Anyways, I have the whole thing put together and set to boot to CD. I am trying to install winXP on it. It runs the set up screen, does the whole thing about pressing f6 for third party RAID driver or whatever and then starts to write the set up files. It stops on the first file though and gives me
Error Code 7, the file i386/kernal/ could not be copied, set up must quit.
And uh.... that's it. I think it is not writing anything to the hard drive (duh), but I can't figure out why. I made sure all my jumpers were set, I called odoyle to double check the primary/secondary on the IDE cables. What else could it be?

I drove past the Sunsphere ala the Simpons with the dealer, and I'm like hey, I saw the Simpsons episode with that just the other day. And she gave me a dirty look, probably because that is probably the only reason people remember Knoxville.

don't need to burn anything
I have the DVD and need that exact quote ... but have no idea which part to watch (no time to watch it all).
Thank you, Shack.

Dictionary.com gives me this info:
ba·nan·a (n).
1. Any of several treelike Asian herbs of the genus Musa, especially M. acuminata, having a terminal crown of large, entire leaves and a hanging cluster of fruits.
2. The elongated, edible fruit of these plants, having a thick yellowish to reddish skin and white, aromatic, seedless pulp.
Wow right there I learned something, I thought they came from South America and not Asia. Learn something every day.
Ok now for banana history! Apparently Alexander the Great discovered the banana in 327BC (while conquering india or something). During early AD years (200-650 banana 's were traded by Islamic merchants, and spread over most of Asia/Africa. However it wasn't until 1502 that the first banana plantation in the Carribean and central america was started.
Nutritional facts:
The banana is nourishing, does not contain fat, and can be eaten at every hour of the day because of its digestive properties. The banana holds 23% of hydrocarbonate for 0,2% of fat. The cholesterol level is 0,00%; a 100 grams of banana has as low calories as a 100 grams of yogurt with fruit.
The banana is full of proteins , and the sugar provided gives a lot of energy to those practising sports requiring endurance. Moreover, it contains magnesium, selenium, iron, a lot of vitamines, and is recommended for salt-free diets because of its low contents in sodium chloridium.
All this is wonderful but the one goddamn fact I wanna know is why my banana's rot =(
banana 's are transported in special containers with temperature controlled at 58Deg(Fahrenheit) to prevent ripening. So one would presume that cold would be good. However when I put my banana 's in the fridge at home they ripen SUPER FAST. So after digging and digging I found that a banana must be stored at ROOM TEMPERATURE to last longer. At any temperature below 8 degrees Celcius it will begin rotting from the inside!! Well fuck me dry...freezer/fridge=BAD.
Now you know kiddies!
