Since I don't really like to break traditions, there won't be a Late Night Consoling tomorrow night (OK who am I kidding, it's the perfect way to give myself a break). Just pretend that I'll be out drinking. We'll run Jason's PS2 online article though, so you'll still have some console goodness. Look for that article in the morning.

GameCube Ura Zelda ReleaseLooks like gamers in Japan are in for a treat when the GameCube game Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto is released there, as not only will a pre-order bonus disc contain Ocarina of Time, it will also include Ura Zelda. For those not familiar with this game (look at me, pretending I know what I'm talking about), Ura Zelda was going to be a Nintendo 64 Disk Drive game, but due to the early demise of that peripheral, it was never released. There's no word as of yet if U.S. gamers are getting this special disc as well. More information can be found at IGN.
Xbox Splinter Cell GoldUbi Soft has announced that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, one of the most anticipated Xbox games of this holiday season, has gone gold. The game will ship November 18. In related news, Planet Xbox mentions that the Crystal Method song "Name of the Game" will be Splinter Cell's theme song.
GameCube Metroid Prime ConferenceYesterday recap of the Metroid Prime videoconference press event at Nintendo by IGN was pretty brief, GameSpy now has a lengthier article. More quotes from Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and Retro's Steve Barcia about the succesful transition of the franchise to the 3D world.
GameCube PS2 Xbox Dragon Quest Music BoxFrom Games Are Fun comes news about a Dragon Quest CD set set for release in Japan, containing over 140 (!) tracks from Dragon Quest I through Dragon Quest VII, performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It will be released in Japan January 22. Still no news about a new game though.
PS2 ICO Team To Show SomethingICO Sequel To Be Shown? is IGN's vague story about the possibility of an ICO sequel being shown at the upcoming PlayStation Party event in December. The team behind the game revealed in the latest Famitsu that they might be showing something at the event, though it was also said that ICO sequel talk might be premature.
GameCube PS2 Square and Capcom FinancialsWith the Final Fantasy movie debacle behind them now, Square is returning to the black. Sales of Final Fantasy X in Europe and Kingdom Hearts in North America helped the company become profitable again, after initial expectations that they would post another loss. Capcom is also doing well, helped by the Resident Evil games on the GameCube and Steel Battalion for the Xbox. Sales are expected to increase 34% vs an earlier 24% estimate.
PS2 XboxGameCube Misc. ScreenshotsBatman: Dark Tomorrow screenshots on GameSpot, as well as screenshots from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. The Magic Box has screenshots from Tenchu 3: Wrath of Heaven.
Console Game of the Evening: Kid Icarus for the NES. haiku suggested this one, "A classic! It made me swear off eating eggplant until I was like 20. I do recall how happy I was when I finally got the wings of pegasus. For a game supposed to be mythological, I am pretty sure all of the enemies could have been in Metroid."
