But I have to admit that I do find everyone's bashing of the game a little bit annnoying. At least it was innovative and I think that some credit has to be given to Lionhead and yes, even EA, for forging ahead with an original concept when every other company in the world is just interested in the next iteration of a game. Do games really just want to play FPS and RPG's? I truly wish B&W was good since it would create an incentive for more company to attempt something original.
I for one am willing to give Molyneux, who has created a number of very good, very original games, another chance to redeem himself. I guess I haven't shaken that first feeling of playing the game when it felt like i was playing an artistic masterpiece. The game slipped downhill pretty rapidly from there, I'll admit, but I feel that if the gameplay itself was altered, it could be good.

and guys... the AI was good, and the engine was fairly impressive, as well.
It was eventually a failure, but a spectacular one.
My question: Why are gaming sites so horny for Lionhead info? Both Fable and B&W2 look pretty, but so did B&W1.... I know Peter is fairly well known, but I have zero repsect for him. I remember reading his interview in Next Generation magazine and thinking he was an ass. I didn't like the magic carpet games. So what is so great about Lionhead? He might have been "cool" at Bullfrog, but come on... Does anyone really care until he can produce another good game. Anyone can produce and good interview/ Press Release. Anyone can produce ideas, but can he produce promises that he keeps?

Nope, I'm not going to buy this game. No way. ...Unless it's really, really good.
I have zero desire to play B&W 2 cause of B&W 1. I am slightly interested in Fable for Xbox though. However I will need several reviews and months of others playing it before I touch a Lionhead game.
