Black Box Games was contracted for the PS2 version, and then EA Canada's Phoenix was contracted out for the Xbox and GCube versions. I have no idea who did the PC version, but all three are fugly in the graphics dept. Way to go EA for fucking up a great series.

#1) Engine sounds (make them sound more like the real cars, instead of maybe a recorded "grumble" effect followed by their shitty stock same-old-sound-pitch-shifted) and gear-shifting/transmission sounds and related effects (like turbo and associated lag which has audible and physical cues). GT3 was fucking excellent in these aspects, and it adds a lot to the "feel" of driving a high performance vehicle.
#2) The physics. This game is fun, but the physics engine feels stupid.
Oh yeah, don't provide an option for the jump/360 cams. REMOVE THEM ENTIRELY. Whichever programmer was responsible for these needs to be fired immediately, because, not only are they stupid in concept, they are fucking HORRIBLY implemented.
Actually, now that I think about it, the entire EA programming team needs to be summarily dismissed. My P4 2.4ghz with Radeon 9700 feels like it is JUST beyond the edge of "runs fine", which means the code for this thing is obviously horrid.
I don't understand why its par for the course for most PC game programmers to churn out such fucking godawful code. Here I've got a 2400mhz CPU with a vector unit, 533mhz+ system bus that can deliver 2.7 gigs per second or more to main memory, and a 325mhz DEDICATED graphics processor with 620mhz (effective) memory that can sling polyg...um, why am I wasting my time... YOU ARE A FUCKING INSULT TO GAME ENGINE PROGRAMMING, GET A NEW JOB, PLEASE.
