ATI Driver Update
by Maarten Goldstein, Oct 13, 2002 6:55am PDTThere is a new ATI Radeon 8500 driver out, which may fix a problem in No One Lives Forever 2. If Chapter 8 in the game the system hangs for you, you will probably want to get this driver. Thanks NOLF Girl.

I play the same games you do.
I still have fun, even if the resolution is a tad lower.
I have $400+ more potential income than you for a future card that will blow your $$$ card away.

I feel that ATI does deserve some credit for improving the quality of both their hardware and their software a lot. Considering that they are essentially using a new technology (agp 8x) I have had relatively few problems. Some people obviously haven't but I think that most people are quite satisfied
The one thing that Scary really should mention is that they released a new 9700 set of drivers in conjunction with these 8500 drivers and they really are kickass, they gave me an extra 5-10fps in ut2003 and cleared out that last bit of problems I was having with ut2k3.
