Halo Producer Quits
by Steve Gibson, Oct 20, 1999 6:05pm PDTWith all the positive press Halo was getting something was bound to happen. It looks like the producer/creative director has quit the project. Check out this post made on the Bungie messageboard:
It is with some sadness that I write to tell you that Friday, October 22, will be my last day working for Bungie. I have received an opportunity to finish my schooling at the University of North Carolina, where I will be allowed to write an honors thesis and (assuming its impressive enough ;), graduate with high honors. In the coming week, Ill be tying up some loose ends, cleaning up, and saying goodbye. When I rejoin the forums this weekend or next Monday, it will be as a fan - just like you. I am no longer Producer or Creative Developer and am no longer a representative of Bungie Software. This is important to note if you continue writing to me.I brought this over from the earlier post: GameSpot UK has a new preview of Halo from Bungie which seems to be really good at getting people all excited even though it's a ways away from release. Just check out these screenshots and you'll see: [shot1] [shot2] [shot3] [shot4] and the CGW shots: [shot1] [shot2] [shot3]. GSUK's preview has a few new shots of their own.

So stop wasting your time on Unreal/UT already and put out a dope title homeboy.
:)
When I look for people to hire I look at:
1. Portfolio
2. Experience
3. Number of sisters
Cliff
I want to go check out DigiPen Institute of Technology (www.digipen.edu), though, \'cause they give a baccalaureate (sp) of science in real time interactive simulation (video game production), and it actually looks really good. :)
The only reason he could be going back to school is to learn. That\'s about it.
I\'m not sayin I agree with his decision, but Chapel Hill kicks much ass... I\'d almost rather live there than here in Charlotte...
Go shut yer pie-hole and play Minesweeper.
