28According to this press release, Vivendi Universal Publishing has entered into a licensing agreement with Marvel Enterprises which grants the publisher the right to create a superheroes MMORPG using Marvel characters. There's little info on the game, though a 2005 release date is mentioned.

If anything they should be trying to sign an agreement with NCSoft and Cryptic studios! The game already has a beautifully done, proven 3d engine and a functional game mechanic to boot! I'm sure the three companies could come to some understanding, rebudget, and make one great game rather than two titles fighting to do the same thing.
