UT2003 Demo Patch
by Steve Gibson, Sep 16, 2002 9:17pm PDTThe Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo patch has just been released, it's a cute little 3meg patch that will make you say awwww! Here's the quick list of fixes included in the patch which you can of course download from FileShack:
- Fixed support for Voodoo3 / Matrox G400. - Fixed initial framerate hitches in network play. - Fixed the jittery screen updates in the server browser when sorting by ping. - Fixed a possible DoS attack in the server code. - Fixed a few other minor potential crashes.

when you are standing still
i am impressed with how it looks
but it is ruined when you start moving around
looks/feels so damn goofy
years later and the smoothness of quake3 still hasn't been attained
and watch this game get game of the year again
i just don't get that game of the year award...

I was getting 30-60fps for most of the maps dipping down to the high teens for the large open spaces and yet it was highly playable. Overall about 30fps+.
Epic and Cliffry need some lovin for fixing this so po people can play too.
I'm still playing this on my P4/GF4ti but some of my po brothas are still cursed wif the woodoo.

and i still auto switch weapons, when i dont want to.

and set the Priority of all the weapons to 0. the it will not switch to any weapons when you pick one up.
ex.
[XWeapons.FlakCannon]
ExchangeFireModes=0
Priority=0
it worked for me :)

"V=ShowSpeechMenu"
and change it to
"V=SpeechMenuToggle" (without the quotes of course, and to whatever key you want to use)
Then save it. Viola!
