How does it only make sense to make an online game only? Unreal sold over a million copies.. I hate to break it to you (it\'s been said time and time again.. but I\'ll poke at it as well) hardcore gamers are a VERY small percentage of gamers. Sure, they might not have the following they wanted, yet the game still sold beyond belief.

By your argument, one would think they would AVOID multiplayer.. and stick to what sold over a million copes.. they are not. They are attempting to expand the genre... multiplayer online gaming has a whole new set of obstacles.. I wish them the best.

If the game rocks.. wonderful.. I\'ll play it.
If it sucks, then it sucks....

    it\'s really that simple.

    cheers

  • Maybe it\'s just me, but as a guy who stays on top of the technology curve ( or tries to ) I am more than a little pissed about Unreal and Unreal Tournament.

Unreal too just under 42yrs to get to the store shelves ( o.k. a little less, but you get the point...) a game, to date... that still isn\'t fixed. Hey network code finally fixed, but now broken for VooDoo3 owners... etc. etc. Try to find a server running anything close to the same version your currently running... bah!! bigger laughs.

UT is based on the EXACT same engine, waiting on the WIZARDS to finally get the code right.... does this bother anyone else besides me?!?! Apparently it does, look at Unreals
awesome online following.... ( HA! ), I guess it only made sense to make an ONLINE GAME ONLY .....

The only thing I look forward too most is the coming YEARS of patches....
