1) Bullets don't drop off either damage or height with distance which I think is total bullshit. The only way they compensated for this is by making every pistol but the DE a pee shooter that takes way too many vest and arm/leg hits to take someone out with.
2) The AI has always centered their aim way too fast. They do these ridiculous snap shots from across the map that results in kills. Their pathfinding and group AI in ghost recon is VERY impressive at times, but their inhuman aiming and the fact that they don't make any physical adjustments (ie crouching/prone) to aim at very long range makes the battles alot less entertaining.
And here's my complaint about ghost recon:
your ai teammates can't see through gaps in bushes even if an enemy is PERFECTLY visible and would be to any real life person, your ai teammates are totally oblivious to them if they are behind a loose spattering of leaves or bushes. It's bullshit and it forces you to go rambo half the time. I mean, i'm thankful the enemies can't see that well, but your highly trained spec ops friends should be a tad more perceptive than terrorists (GR) and backwoods militia (sum of all fears).

What was your favorite R6 level from all games?
Mine would either be the mission in the rain in war torn Kosovo from RS or the Bolivia jungle mission from Covert Ops which was insane.
Others were cooler in other ways, but those two stand out in my mind as something down to earth that you might normally see and both were pretty intense.

I personally think, as much as a liked GR, that as a multiplayer game and map-wise, Sum of all Fears is a vastly superior game. The weapon selections are vast and varied and have all my favorites. The multiplayer coop feels like Rogue Spear is a much, much better engine with better enemy AI. I althoughs though RS had the best coop of the series and SoaF is better in alot of ways.
The single player is alot different though, and much more "on rails"...but the skirmishes in lone wolf are great and intense.
hmm, letterbox stuff, perhaps they're introducing cutscenes into Red Storm's games finally? (to test out for Raven Shield)?
oh god

- 3 years behind the tech curve
- 8 sided wheels on vehicals (just like half life had)
- 20 polygons or more making up state of the art terrain
move on, nothing to see here.

$30 for 5 missions and a dozen weapons they could have thrown in the original?
It all started with Eagle Watch for the original R6. 6 maps, decently done, more of what gamers wanted of R6. Ok fine.
But now Red Storm/Ubisoft are releasing 2 packs a game for what I'd argue should be one game by itself or both packs into one. $50 + 2 $30 exp. packs is ridiculous for the content they are throwing out.
R6
R6 - Eagle Watch
R6 - Covert Ops (which was a total joke, 3 missions)
Rogue Spear
RS Blackthorn
RS Urban Operations
Ghost Recon
GR: Desert Siege
... and now another pack for paltry content. I don't care how good the gameplay is, developers selling you bits and pieces at a time is total BS.

It's sad you can't jump in the game (LOL!) and shooting a rocket brings my AMD 1900+, 1gb of DDR RAM, GeForce3 Ti500 to its knees (LOL!).
This series would be better the next round with a better engine.
