  • I bought the MS Explorer mouse (the good looking one) when it came out and I gotta tell ya I\'m impressed. I gotta agree with #5. I mean even Steve was bashing it because it wasn\'t good for gaming. WTF. It\'s the best mouse out there for precise freaks. It is sleek and sexy, and very responsive. You will notice a heck of a difference in Windows with this thing, since it follows your ever pixel. Beyond cool. I will not have to buy a new mouse for a long time. For the next MS mouse, I suggest taking out the Internet buttons, and make the mouse simpler (take out the light on the back). The two buttons and the scroll wheel is all we need. And if you can, Microsoft, please have a white/gray version of the mouse, since it doesn\'t match with my white keyboard/monitor/system. I must say I\'m impressed. It\'s a step up.

  • I bought an IntelliEye (the white one, the cheaper one) a few weeks ago and it is *real* nice. It\'s by far the smoothest mouse I\'ve ever used and I was using a Logitech Mouseman+ USB before. I can spin 180º just fine. I don\'t know why Firing Squad had a problem with that. What this thing is really good for is turning the sensitivity down for long distance railing. You railgun geniuses are the ones who would benefit from this thing the most because of the incredible precision it\'s capable of.

While we\'re on the subject - I took Blue\'s advice and glued my Precise Mousing Surface down onto a regular mouse pad with 3M aerosol glue. Now the PMS lays flat and doesn\'t move around on the desk. Much better.

The only complaint I have with my IntelliEye is that the buttons take too little pressure to click. Just the weight of my forefinger will accidentally right click while I\'m reading a web page.

Also, Hardware One seems to think Micro$oft invented the optical mouse. Wrong. Sun had a optical mouse back in the 80\'s. It\'s another M$ \"innovation\" that was actually done years ago by someone else.
